HOW IT WORKS
VillagePledge offers three methods for donating to the Village Endowment Fund.

2
Set up your donation.
One-Time
Choose any amount to make a single donation, scheduled for the time of your choosing.
Monthly
Choose an amount to be donated once every month until cancelled. Pause it anytime!
Round-Up
Donate the round-up amount to the nearest dollar on your day-to-day purchases.
3
Your donation is sent to the Village Endowment Fund, where it is then strategically delivered to the students who graduate from the over 100 colleges, universities and trade-schools designated as HBCUs in the world. Making the graduates of these schools tuition-debt free!
Frequently Asked
When does my donation transfer to the graduates?
Initially, VillagePledge will determine which graduating classes will be awarded the student-loan tuition debt payoff. Graduates will be asked to provide documentation of student-loan account information. Once verified, Village Pledge will then work with the selected schools and loan providers to satisfy the tuition-debt obligations.
Are VillagePledge donations tax-deductible?
Yes! VillagePledge is designated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Tax Code. Please consult with an accountant or tax advisor on how to properly claim your donation.
Is VillagePledge a non-profit organization?
Yes. VillagePledge is a non-profit charitable organization created under section 501 (c) (3) of Title 26 of the United States Code. VillagePledge believes in full transparency and values every donation contributed. Please visit our Financial Reporting section for a detailed account of our compliance and annual reports.
When can I expect tax documents for my donations?
Donations made directly to the VillagePledge website will generate a receipt of your donation that can be used for tax purposes. Contributors who make donations through the VillagePledge App will receive a quarterly statement via email detailing donations. Feel free to contact us via email at: corp@villagepledge.org or telephone: 302-775-5106 and we'll be happy to assist you.
Does the Village Endowment Fund provide for past student-loan debt of graduates of HBCUs?
Yes! While the primary focus of VillagePledge is to support future graduates of HBCUs, periodically, we will select graduates of HBCUs from years past and payoff their existing student-loan debt. Liberation!
